This year Chief Express was honored to be selected by Daimler Trucks to participate in their annual Ride of Pride program and awarded the Ride of Honor truck.  The Ride of Pride program was created by Daimler to honor America’s Veterans.  The Ride of Honor truck this year represents the 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  The driver side of the truck depicts an actual photo of Pearl Harbor taken from an American military plane just hours before the attack.  Also on the driver side is a photo of the USS Arizona before the attack.  The passenger side of the truck shows a picture of modern day Pearl Harbor as well as a picture of the USS Arizona memorial.  The POW/MIA  and Wounded Warrior Project logos are also on the truck.  The truck has done much traveling since its completion.  It has been on tour across North Carolina to several VA Hospitals and has participated in various parades.  Over Memorial Day weekend following a ceremony, the truck departed the Daimler plant with a police and motorcycle escort and made its way all the way to Washington DC to participate in the Rolling Thunder ride on Washington.  We are humbled and appreciative to have been allowed to help honor our nations veterans in this way.
